卡特卓尔学校由伊利大主教在1921年建成的，起初位于圣彼得大教堂。最近十年来，学校做了许多更新，包括在2010年建成了活动中心。2009年，学校与宾州伊利的维拉女子中学正式确立合作关系。这两所学校目前共享课程、体育设施、教师及行政资源，通过共享资源使得双方的教育更成功。
