加拿大北大西洋学院位于纽芬兰―拉布拉多省，由分布于全省的18个校园组成。于1997年由五个公立学院正式联合而成，是该省的一所公立学院。它是大西洋加拿大地区最大的高等教育和职业技能训练中心之一，提供70多个全日制课程和300多个非全日制课程。这18个分校中很多都是有很长的办学历史。

大学简介
该学院每年培养约3000名毕业生，教育以就业为导向，设置了应用美术、商业、健康科学、工业教育和贸易、自然资源、信息技术和ESL（英语作为第二种语言）等诸多领域的课程，经过一至三年学习，发给职业证书或毕业文凭。该学院还通过与工商企业的伙伴关系，提供合作教育，有15周的有偿学习实践机会。该学院还与美国和加拿大的很多大学有正式协约，目前工程技术、社区学习、健康科学和视觉艺术等专业毕业生基本上可以顺利地从大专文凭的课程可直接转读大学本科文凭的课程。
该学院有1,100名教师队伍，师生人数比为10:1，教学设备先进而齐全。招生对象为：完成高中或相当于高中水平的学业的加拿大及国际生源。（国际学生需提供学业/水平证书）。在正式进入学术专业课程前，一般需要完成数学、英语、物理、化学、生物等预科课程。该学院还提供各种奖学金、助学金和奖励项目。
该学院是加拿大社区学院联合会成员，也是加拿大国际教育署和加拿大世界大学服务中心的成员，它的课程为纽芬兰―雷布拉多省以及加拿大政府承认，已为纽芬兰－拉布拉多省及加拿大其他省培养了众多的应用技术人才。
