威诺纳州立大学成立于1858年，是一所以本科教育为主的公立综合性大学，是明尼苏达州学院与大学系统中最古老的学校，现有在校生约8606人，校区位于美国明尼苏达州的威诺纳。
威诺纳州立大学下设六大学院：商学院、教育学院、文学院、护理与卫生科学学院、自然科学与工程学学院以及研究生学院。提供专科、本科、硕士和博士阶段的教育，开设的专业包括会计、体育训练、生物学、化学、商业管理、计算机科学、政治、法律、律师助理、数学、护理、心理学、经济、教育、初级教育、细胞技术学、英语、地球科学、全球化研究、大众传媒、人力资源管理、市场营销等。威诺纳州立大学曾先后使用过明尼苏达第一州立师范学院、威诺纳州立师范学院、威诺纳州立教师学院、威诺纳州立学院等名称。
