德克萨斯州大学奥斯汀分校(University of Texas at Austin,简称UT Austin),成立于1883年,是德克萨斯州州立系统中的主校区,也是德克萨斯州境内最顶尖的高等学府之一,建于1883年,主校园离位于奥斯汀的德克萨斯州州政府总部不足一里。现有学生人数49,696(2005年秋季统计资料),为全美单一校园中学生人数中第五大的大学(2005年秋季统计资料)。除奥斯汀主校区外,Pickle研究校区(J. J. PickleResearch Campus)位于奥斯汀北部,而该校天文系亦负责位于得州西部戴维斯山区的麦当劳天文台。

Yukii同学申请2018年秋本科入学是在2017年6月才回国开始找的留学办理机构;初次接触就感受到浓重的“被之前出国高中办理机构坑了”;同她聊天知道,留短短的回国几日先后对比很多家大大小小的留学机构及老师。但Yukii比较活泼,有自己的主见及想法,整个咨询过程持续将近3小时,但申请在即,标化无理想成绩(T:75;SAT:1210);ED/EA 11月1日截止,暑假已经提前报名去云南支教,申请目标是美国排名前30,世界排名前50的目标。全面的了解信息,分析了他的优势、劣势,并提出了扬长避短的解决方案和思路。

B.申请时

1、通过SWOT分析,选校根据学生对目标学校的学术环境、师资力量、地理位置和口碑的要求,精准的选校定校方案。

2、结合学生的成长背景、学习、活动和实习经历,跟学生一起分析他的兴趣和性格特长后,选定了common系统的主文书题目和UC系统的8选4文书题目,并且在跟学生和家长的深入沟通后,确定了文书的素材和思路。

3、因为有了解,所以文书一切都比较顺畅。在文书方面需要注意的是:推敲哪个素材更有特色、思路的布局如何更清晰,如何更引人入胜,用词的表达等等;

4、成功申请ED/EA;

5、递交申请后的继续刷分及和院校保持积极的沟通——由于11月份托福一直未达90分,sat没达到1360+,学生和家长心里都非常着急,学生自己有点气馁放弃,家长也是对孩子这个没有信心了,多次开导解开她的心理压力,并对她的考试小分做了分析,并提出学习解决办法,让她有信心再次重考托福和SAT,也安排学生考试,也和家长沟通目前的情况我们该怎么去解决,让家长没有那么焦虑,在经过一个月的双方努力后,学生11月3号考了托福,在11月中下旬出了分数,93分,12月2号再考了sat1390,虽然这个分数不是很高,但是一个月的时间提升了不少,在出分的第一时间,立马给学校进行官方送分和邮件通知已经申请的学校,在等待学校录取过程中,把学生任何的更新的活动以及成绩单都及时给学校发过去,和学校保持紧密联系。

6、成功录取——在2018年2月春节过后的第一天,就收到了德州奥斯汀的本新录取offer,YUKII的dream 学校!
